Born in Midland, Texas, Mike Sexton knows what family values are as well as the importance of hard work. From there he went to Texas A&M University where he met his amazing wife Lee Anne, with whom he has been with for 20 years. He moved to the metroplex in 1998 to finish school at UTA and play rugby with the Fort Worth Rugby Club.
His entrepreneurial spirit led him to build a business as an endurance coach, guiding dozens and dozens of everyday people to amazing athletic feats such as a marathon or an Ironman triathlon. Here he learned how to motivate, educate and help drive individuals to meet and even exceed their goals.
Mike and his family moved to Colleyville in 2008. The unique rural feel, the amazing people, the exceptional schools and the outstanding safety record made Colleyville the only place to raise his family. He is active with the area youth as a soccer coach, Dad's Club President at Bransford Elementary, W.A.T.C.H. Dog leader, as well as helping with Girls on the Run.
Mike believes the role of government is limited to the following:
1) Protecting your liberties
2) Protecting your property
3) Providing infrastructure
Active in the community by campaigning for term limits, greater transparency and ethics at the city level, he will continue to be a champion for transparency, fiscal responsibility and accountability.
Today, Mike wants to serve as your voice in Colleyville and "Keep Colleyville...Colleyville.". A voice that reverberates your concerns. Your voice matters. Your future matters. Mike would be honored to be that voice.
"Where liberty is, there is my country."
"The only freedom which deserves the name is that of pursuing our own good, in our own way, so long as we do not attempt to deprive others of theirs, or impede their efforts to obtain it."

"A Bill of Rights is what the people are entitled to against every government, and what no just government should refuse, or rest on inference"
